I was reading some articles on-line about model cars and you wouldn’t believe what I read? I read that when you have a collection of model cars that are rare or that has alot of value to you sentimenta, or
dollar value then you should try to put some insurance on it. You know just in case there is a tragedy in your house, like a fire or an earthquake or somebody decides to steal your collection. Hopefully
that never happens but that would be something to think about. I have insurance on my collection, I have material insurance with my house it insures everything that I think it’s valuable in my house.

So do you have insurance on your model cars, you enthusiastic model cars like me?

Have you noticed that model cars are dissapearing from the shelves of your major retail stores. You wouldn’t guess why this has happened, the rise of fuel cost, as you enthusiast of model cars like me know that model cars are made out of polystyrene. Petroleum is one ingredent that is used to make the models that model car enthusiast build this is the reason why they are dissapearing.

Alot of people don’t care about this but this, this will affect some cirlces which are the circles where us model car builders hang aound in.

What the companies have began to use is risen but risen will have model car builders working harder because risen after cooling down can set up air bubbles and model car builders will have to sand it down so this might not make car modeling as enjoyable as it used to be.

So as you can see even gas prices affect hobbies such as model car building.

Exta! Extra! It was a tough competition, there was 400 model car kits mailed out to more than 30 car clubs throught the united states, they were shipeed by a Insurance Company Hagerty Insurance. They were to host their own youth model-building competition, the winning cars where then shipped back to hagerty and placed on his website for voting by the general public. He goes to explain that he made this compettion possible to get young kids exicited on classic cars.

This is a very good way to get your kid involved in classic cars if you are a dad, probably by building the car you used to drive. By bulding a model car.

The top finalist traveled to Monterey California for final judging. The winner was a Nine-year-old Tyler Urrutia from Miami, Florida. You can see it all here.

As you can see everybody likes getting involed in model cars. I specially like to build newer car model’s because those are the cars that i would like to own if one day “I win the lottery” LOL. But as you can see there is alot of diffrent kinds of model cars that you can build and with this, I have proven to you
that you can start building at what ever age, young or old.
